The Wishek Renaissance Zone is a designated area of properties in Wishek that have been identified in need of improvement and preservation. The program is intended to revitalize the Wishek community through commercial and residential investments offering tax incentives for:
- Purchase of commercial or residential property
- Rehabilitation of property
- New construction/expansion
- Purchase with major improvements
Each property parcel included in the Wishek Renaissance Zone is listed in the property parcel list. Locate the latest property tax bill and review the the list of parcels to check if your property might qualify for investment tax incentives. Once you know your property is in the Renaissance Zone and before you begin to make any improvements or finalize a purchase you should complete the application form and follow/use the included checklist. Potential amount of tax incentive is based on the level of investment and assessed value of the property among other things.
